Only A Pavement Away, the charity that supports the homeless, ex-offenders and vulnerable veterans into jobs within the hospitality industry, will be encouraging people to take part in The 2.6 Challenge to Save the UK’s Charities created by the UK’s Mass Participation Sports Organisers. Launching on Sunday 26th April, the event has been organised to raise donations for charities who are missing out on funds due to the postponement of this year’s 40th London Marathon.

The charity will be asking those who take part to walk 2.6km (socially distanced of course!) or do 26 laps of their house/garden, all whilst balancing an egg on a spoon, flipping a pancake, or balancing a bottle of wine on a tray – all filmed and shared across social media with the #twopointsixchallenge. Those who choose to take on the challenge will also be asked to nominate friends and donate to either Only A Pavement Away, or to the central fund which will be split between all charities getting involved in the initiative.

Only A Pavement Away will be releasing more information via its social media platforms in the coming days, so make sure to follow @apavementaway on Twitter, @onlyapavementaway on Facebook, and @only_a_pavement_away on Instagram.
