FUNDRAISING.
Each participant pledges to raise £300. There will be a prize for the participant who raises the most funds!
TRANSPORT.
From Kings Cross St Pancreas, London there is a train to Whatstandwell that takes approx 2hrs 20 mins (inc a connection at Derby). From here it is about a 40 minute journey to the hostel either by bus or car.
ACCOMMODATION.
Thornbridge Outdoors consists of 30 acres and has 3 hostels. We aim to hire 2 of their hostels exclusively for our event, however this will be dependent on the number of entrants. Even though we will have exclusive access to our own accommodation sites, we ask our participants to please be mindful that we will not be the only guests on site.
The site is an outdoor events business with multiple outdoor apparatus. For health and safety reasons, attendees are prohibited from playing and climbing on any of the equipment without an official booking. Any attendee who does not comply with these rules will be asked to leave the site immediately. We hope you can understand how paramount it is that we prioritise your safety and also our brand reputation.
On site parking is available for 58 cars, which included their overflow car park.
Linen is included but you will have to make up your own beds.
Towels are not included, nor are you able to hire them so please don’t forget to bring your own.
The hostel has a no noise policy after 11pm outside, however, don’t worry because there are several pubs within 15 minute walking distance to continue celebrations after this time.
FRIDAY NIGHT MARINE WORKOUT.
The British weather can be quite unpredictable, and even in June it is likely to rain. Due to our marine workout being held outside please bring extra workout clothes/trainers that you do not mind getting wet and muddy and will not require for hiking in on the following day.
We suggest you also invest in a disposable poncho – these can be purchased from Tesco’s (normally in the Car or Camping sections of the store) for just a pound or two.
TOUR GUIDE.

The selected company will have public liability insurance and guides are first aid trained.
EVENT SCHEDULE & FOOD CHOICES.
Please ensure you arrive in time for the team briefing on the Friday so we can share further details about the weekend with you & introduce you to the rest of your hiking team!
Please check through the menu which will be provided closer to the event date to ensure it meets your dietary requirements. Specific dietary options will only be provided in the quantities required for these specific hikers, unless requested otherwise.
CANCELLATION POLICY.
£35 of your entry fee is non-refundable to align with our accommodation provider and tour guide operator’s policy.
The refundability of the remaining £35 of your entry fee is as follows;
A 100% refund will be provided to participants provided they cancel up to and including 84 days (12 weeks) prior to the first day of the event to coincide with the cancellation policies of our accommodation provider. Any cancellations with less than 84 days notice will be non-refundable.
