What is Gift Aid?
The Government allows charities to claim back tax on donations. This tax relief is called ‘Gift Aid’.

Gift Aid is great because it means charities get extra money added to their donations at no extra cost to the donor. For every £1 donated, the charity currently receives £1.25 when you add Gift Aid.

For higher rate tax payers – Example; You donate £100 to charity – they claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25.00 (£125 x 20%).

OAPA is registered with online fundraising platform Virgin Money Giving who, if the donor/s are a UK tax payer and complete the Gift Aid declaration, will collect and pay forward the Gift Aid received to us.

If you wish to make a donation to OAPA off-line and you are a UK tax payer please complete the Gift Aid declaration here and send it along with your donation to (TBC WHERE ANY POSTAL DONATIONS CAN BE SENT)
